Description
Join Student Involvement for a discussion on the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. book "Why We Can't Wait." In celebration of MLK and his vision for the future we want to read one of his books and discuss how his vision and goals for a Beloved Community and relate to our society today. Take the break to read this book and join us for lunch and a discussion. Students can come by the SUB 201 to sign out a book to use while supplies last. Staff and faculty we encourage you to participate. You can find the book on Amazon for about $8 or less for a used copy.
We need you to RSVP for the discussion so we can order lunch by January 10, 2020. Only RSVP if you are going to be available and remember to put it on your calendar.
Jesse Jackson stated, "No child should graduate from high school without having read this book. In telling the story of the third American Revolution, it is as integral to American history as the Declaration of Independence."
If you have read the book, please join us but if you have not there is not time like the present to do so!
