About
ACM at Texas Tech University is a student organization open to all students interested in computing, providing resources that advance computing as both a science and profession. After its dissolution in 2019, passionate students, with support from the Texas Tech Department of Computer Science, successfully restarted the chapter. Our vision is to foster a sense of community among individuals interested in computing, regardless of major, while maintaining an inclusive membership policy that welcomes everyone, irrespective of race, creed, age, gender, disability, nationality, sexual orientation, economic status, veteran status, or parenthood. We also proudly introduce ACM-W, our platform dedicated to empowering and supporting women in Computer Science at Texas Tech. With diverse events like workshops, speaker panels, hackathons, and competitions, we invite students of all backgrounds and skill levels to join our dynamic community, share our passion for technology, and shape the future of computing together!
